Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a term that covers many different diseases that cause unpleasant feeling in the gastro-intestinal tract.
IBS symptoms are known to be abdominal pain, bloating, discomfort, and different bowel activities that normal. There is nothing that can cure irritable bowel syndrome, but some temporary fixes exist such as fixing your diet, medicine, and some other things.
Normally irritable bowel syndrome won’t lead to anything more serious, but other diseases can be characterized as irritable bowel syndrome. Some of these could be celiac disease, infections, inflammatory diseases, etc. With irritable bowel syndrome you may see diarrhea, constipation, or alternate bowel movements that normal. This can also be caused by psychological problems or other unknown conditions.
There is no one way to be tested or diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome but usually a doctor will examine you to make sure that you don’t have any diseases or problems that resemble irritable bowel syndrome before diagnosing you with it. This is to make sure that you don’t have a more serious problem. It is better to have irritable bowel syndrome than another condition because it doesn’t usually turn into anything more serious than the actual conditions caused by it.
Irritable bowel syndrome is often misdiagnosed as a cause of diarrhea or other common symptoms. This isn’t a good thing because the other resembling diseases can actually turn into something worse and if you aren’t aware of having one of these diseases you could get very sick. In addition to the previously mentioned symptoms some others that could accompany the condition are headaches, migraines, depression, or chronic pain in the abdomen.
For the most part doctors still do not know the exact origins of irritable bowel syndrome or how to prevent it. Some of the good ideas of causes consist of: psychosomatic illness, immune system reactions, or active infections.
